Team
Who We Are
By choice we are a small and dedicated group, but we work regularly with experts in a variety of disciplines in order to always have the right team to deliver the finest possible results. We undertake overall project management, but also bring our specific expertise and skills to projects as required.

Kathryn Blatt Ancaya, LEED AP
Kate is co-founder of Living Roofs, Inc. – Her professional and academic experience in anthropology/archeology and landscape architecture stem from her interests in how humans interact with and create/modify their environments. Her design approach is nested closely with her belief that sensitive, ecologically responsible and restorative design can have an incremental effect on the larger social and environmental health of our surroundings. Kate’s work at Living Roofs is focused on design, with specific emphasis on ensuring the green roof design chosen is appropriate for clients’ and users’ needs, as well as the site and surrounding area. She leads the design team from concept through construction ensuring the original vision remains intact throughout the project. Her design training has allowed her to move beyond traditional green roof design and incorporate diverse applications, plant material, and results when desired.
Alan Myers-Davis
Alan is a senior project manager at Living Roofs, Inc. Alan brings extensive hands on construction and maintenance experience to each project. He has successfully worked on a number of public and private projects in NC, SC, NYC, CT, and TN. While there, he successfully created and implemented the GREENS Fund, and later helped launch Charleston’s first Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA). One of Alan’s concentrations at Living Roofs is on the potential for green roofs to minimize the impact on the natural world, and he also is working to integrate more food production within the green roofing industry.
