Featured green roof: Garden Shed - Raleigh, NC
This green roof was completed in 2005 and consists of a 4-inch extensive system on a 7:12 slope. The roof was specially designed to support the weight of a fully saturated green roof and retain the soil on a steep pitch. A mix of Delosperma, Sedum, Talinum, Euphorbia, and Sempervium species were planted in April 2005. The roof provides valuable habitat for backyard insects and birds. Living Roofs, Inc.
