LRI completes Chattanooga Green Roof

Installation on Hamilton County’s Public Health Building in Chattanooga, TN just wrapped up.  It is a hybrid green roof with two systems:  modular, pre-vegetated trays and plug planted areas.  The design is meant to mimic the surrounding topography of the Southern Tennessee Valley, hence the three large mounds of soil on the roof.  We battled cold rain, mixed snow, and freezing temperatures during the installation, but our dedicated crew persevered and are looking forward to watching the progress.  We look forward to seeing this roof come to life this spring – check out the article in Chattanooga’s Times Free Press.  See the Hamilton County Public Health project page in our portfolio for more pictures and a time lapse video of the installation.
