The City of Columbia’s Water and Waste Water Management Facility, or City Water as it is also known, is a prime example of adaptive reuse and how a brownfield and abandoned site can be revitalized and positively impact and uplift the surrounding community. The green roof and a series of rain gardens that capture stormwater are only two of the many innovative features of this LEED GOLD project.
